Baseball Recap: Gorham Fayette Eagles vs. Holgate Tigers
Gorham Fayette had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 1-8 to make it ten. They lost 19-2 to the Holgate Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 22-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Caleb Lerma was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. He also got a hit, marking his first of the season.
