Basketball Game Preview: Shorecrest Scots vs. Shorewood Stormrays

The Shorecrest Scots will head out on the road to challenge the Shorewood Stormrays at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Shorecrest has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three matchups.

If Shorecrest beats Shorewood with 64 points on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Shorecrest took down Lynnwood 64-47 on Wednesday. Given the Scots' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Royals are ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Shorewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of King's.

Shorecrest now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Shorewood, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Shorecrest came up short against Shorewood in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 49-44. Can Shorecrest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
