Volleyball Recap: Knob Noster Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Knob Noster dropped to 10-16-2 on Tuesday, ending the team's six-match streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Smith-Cotton Tigers by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Gabriella Quinones paced Knob Noster's offense, picking up 12 kills. Quinones got some help from Tinlee Jones and her 28 assists. Jones was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

As for Smith-Cotton, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-18-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 2nd.

Piper Cantrell had an outrageously good game as she had 25 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Coming up, Knob Noster will challenge Lexington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Smith-Cotton, they will head out to challenge Boonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
