Decatur Community hadn't done well against St. Francis recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Red Devils came out on top against the Indians by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on September 13th.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Decatur Community was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15.

Brylee Minnick paced Decatur Community's offense, picking up eight kills. Minnick got some help from Jori Fortin and her ten assists. Elsie Larson and Ella Williby kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Decatur Community's record now sits at 9-10. As for St. Francis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Decatur Community and Hitchcock County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another on Tuesday. As for St. Francis, they will host Russell on Tuesday.
