Soccer Game Preview: Centralia vs. Greenville

The Centralia Orphans will face off against the Greenville Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

On Saturday, Centralia sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden. The victory continues a trend for Centralia in their matchups with Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Greenville won against Gillespie on Tuesday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. The Comets had just enough and edged out Hillsboro 2-1. Greenville wouldn't have won without Megan Ridens, who scored the game-winner.

The win made it two in a row for Greenville and bumps their season record up to 8-4. As for Centralia, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4-2.
