For the second straight game, Triton will face off against Argos. The Trojans will square off against the Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Triton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Triton took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Argos a 16-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won six in a row.

Isaiah Vaca was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Maddox Dennie and Ryder Goodman did most of the damage at the plate: Dennie went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Goodman went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Goodman has posted over his last 11 matchups. Jadyn Prater was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Argos' defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Triton, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
