Baseball Recap: Osceola Wins Going Away Against Drexel

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Osceola and Drexel have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Indians put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 11-2 victory. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Indians this season.

Osceola's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Drexel, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Osceola will be playing in front of their home fans against Northeast Vernon County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Drexel, they will square off against Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
