Softball Recap: Shiocton Comes Up Short

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Shiocton was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They lost 14-1 to the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers. The Chiefs have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Shiocton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Shiocton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Chargers beat Shiocton by a score of 14-6 later that day.
