Basketball Recap: Memphis Central Comes Up Short

Memphis Central played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 53-20 defeat at the hands of the Memphis East Mustangs. The Warriors have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Memphis East got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was McKenzie Register out in front who posted 11 points and four steals. Register has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlee Sinkfield, who scored 12 points and three steals.

Memphis Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Memphis East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Memphis Central will head out to face off against Overton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memphis East has already played their next contest (against White Station), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
