Conemaugh Township is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Northern Cambria just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to the Colts. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Indians, who until this contest were averaging 3.64 runs allowed.
For Northern Cambria's part, Caleb Dolney made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Dolney has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since April 4th.
In other batting news, Nathan Fry was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Gisler, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Northern Cambria, bringing their record up to 15-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Conemaugh Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Conemaugh Township has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454.
