Recap: Duchesne vs. Living Word Christian

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Living Word Christian and Duchesne. Everything came up roses for Living Word Christian against Duchesne on Friday as the team secured a 46-3 win. For Living Word Christian, this is just revenge for the 28-38 defeat they suffered against Duchesne the last time they faced one another.

The game started off well for Living Word Christian, whose offense put up 32 first-half points. Meanwhile, Duchesne couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 32-0 heading into the break. The Living Word Christian defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup.

Living Word Christian found Living Word Christian's leader in an underclassman sophomore Kalin Black, which was enough to make him one of the team's best players. In fact, with ten tackles Dotson was a force on both sides of the ball. On the defensive end, sophomore Chris Futrell was a one-man blockade for Living Word Christian with four sacks and 12 tackles.

Living Word Christian will look to defend their home turf next week against Westminster Christian at 7:00 PM. Duchesne will be playing at home against Winfield at at 7:00 PM. Duchesne's defense better steel itself: Winfield are averaging 43.71 points per game.
