Baseball Recap: Cooper Takes a Loss

Cooper managed to slip by Dixie Heights the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jaguars lost 10-3 to the Colonels on Monday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for Dixie Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-11-1 record this season.

Cooper will challenge Boone County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.82 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Dixie Heights, they will take on Walton-Verona at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colonels are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
