Basketball Game Preview: Siegel Stars vs. Blackman Blaze

Siegel hasn't had much luck against Blackman recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Siegel Stars will welcome the Blackman Blaze at 6:00 p.m.

Siegel is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 72-14 loss at the hands of Rockvale. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Rockvale are ranked 58th).

Mary Ignatz was Siegel's leading scorer, having posted five points. Neela Alexander held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Blackman entered their tilt with Rockvale on Friday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They enjoyed a cozy 59-43 victory over Rockvale.

Blackman's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Siegel, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Siegel might still be hurting after the 59-33 loss they got from Blackman in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Siegel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
