Football Recap: Mcbee Falls to Cheraw in First Game of Season + How To Watch

McBee unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 48-7 loss at the hands of the Cheraw Braves. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost four in a row.

Leading Cheraw to victory were Justyn Joint and Kadin Thomas. Joint rushed for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, while Thomas threw for 111 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. Nick Gordon also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Looking ahead, McBee is taking a road trip to take on North Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cheraw, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Marlboro County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
