Basketball Recap: Saniya Battles Key Part of Team Effort in Indians Win

Hazlehurst was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Muddy River HomeSchool on Tuesday. The Indians blew past the Counselors 56-32. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hazlehurst to victory, but perhaps none more so than Saniya Battles, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Battles a new career-high. Another player making a difference was A'Zariya Carter, who had 12 points.

Hazlehurst's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Muddy River HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
