Centennial has gone 9-0-1 against Desert Oasis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Diamondbacks at 3:30 p.m.

Centennial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Palo Verde, who was ranked first at the time (Centennial was ranked sixth). The Bulldogs fell 8-3 to the Panthers on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Hailey Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Valeria Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Desert Oasis posted their closest win since March 26th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Foothill 10-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Diamondbacks.

Ali Perkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Desert Oasis got a massive performance out of Arabella Carlin, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Carlin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Vida Torres, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Desert Oasis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Desert Oasis, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6-1.

Everything went Centennial's way against Desert Oasis in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Centennial made off with an 8-2 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Diamondbacks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
