Glynn Academy can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-7 victory over Lakeside at home. Glynn Academy's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Even though Jonesboro has not done well against Lovejoy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Jonesboro managed a 36-30 win over Lovejoy.
Jonesboro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamon Jones out in front who threw for 307 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Montez Redding was another key contributor, picking up 143 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Glynn Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Jonesboro, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Everything came up roses for Glynn Academy against Jonesboro when the teams last played back in November of 2016 as the squad secured a 45-3 victory. Will Glynn Academy repeat their success, or does Jonesboro have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
