Basketball Recap: Mid-Missouri Homeschool Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Tara Marks and Taylor Dorr

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool suffered their closest loss since January 13th on Friday. They fell just short of the St. Louis Christian HomeSchool Patriettes by a score of 49-47. The defeat continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Patriettes: they've now lost five in a row.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's loss came despite strong showings from Taylor Dorr and Tara Marks. Dorr went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points in addition to eight boards and five steals, while Marks posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Marks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Raelynn Steele, who earned six points and eight rebounds.

Even though they lost, Mid-Missouri HomeSchool smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-40 defeat against Lighthouse Christian on the 15th. St. Louis Christian HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
