On Wednesday Westfield's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Minnechaug Regional Falcons. That's two games straight that the Bombers have won by just one run.

Westfield pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Minnechaug Regional, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
