Baseball Recap: Rockbridge Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Rockbridge Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past the Covenant Life Cougars 19-1 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Scots considering their one-run performance the contest before.

John Ault made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ault was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Will Schingeck was a standout: he scored four runs and stole Six bases. while going 3-for-4. Evan Tessneer was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple.

The win got Rockbridge Academy back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockbridge Academy will face off against Harford Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Covenant Life will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Perry Hall Christian at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th.
