Basketball Recap: Rock Valley Comes Up Short

Rock Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 53-44 to the Spirit Lake Indians. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Indians are ranked 40th).

Rock Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Spirit Lake, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Rock Valley is taking a road trip to square off against Sibley-Ocheyedan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Spirit Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Okoboji at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
