Baseball Recap: St. Bernard Comes Up Short

St. Bernard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-4 to the St. Paul Catholic Falcons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 on Monday.

St. Bernard's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for St. Paul Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Coming up, St. Bernard is taking a road trip to face off against New London at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Paul Catholic, they will challenge Holy Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 2.5, the Crusaders 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
