Recap: O'Fallon Panthers vs. Highland Bulldogs
In what's become a running theme this season, the O'Fallon Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 54-33 margin over Highland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win O'Fallon has posted since December 29, 2023.
It was another big night for D'Myjah Bolds, who shot 4-for-5 from deep and dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Carolyn Foster, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.
O'Fallon is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. O'Fallon will take on Edwardsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edwardsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 121st, while O'Fallon is ranked 20th). As for Highland, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hillsboro is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
