Mason Atkins Delivers Best Performance of Season
Mason Atkins produced his most outstanding game to date while leading West Aurora to the win on Friday. Atkins threw for 233 yards and five touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
The victory for West Aurora keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. It'll be Eastside v. Westside when their and Aurora East meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Azuriah Sylvester's big game helped extend West Aurora's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Sylvester as he made a tackle. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 50 yards.

While Robert Capuzi delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Elgin. Capuzi was excellent, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss). Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 5.2 total tackles per game.
