Central came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Allatoona Buccaneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since October 2, 2024.

Central was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (60-58), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-20, 17-15.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Allatoona, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will face off against Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Allatoona, they will take on Harrison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
