Basketball Recap: Pine Crest Panthers vs. FAU High Owls
The Pine Crest Panthers came into Thursday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They really took it to FAU High for the full four quarters, racking up a 83-30 victory at home. That looming 83-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Pine Crest yet this season.
Pine Crest was led to victory by Rowan Hoffman and Dylan Wigoda. Hoffman scored 17 points along with six rebounds, while Wigoda scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wigoda has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kareem Khouri, who scored 12 points.
FAU High's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Chamberlain, who scored nine points.
Pine Crest's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for FAU High, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-20.
