Soccer Game Preview: Aledo vs. Centennial

The Aledo Bearcats will square off against the Centennial Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Centennial better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Aledo really get things going. Aledo's defense stepped up to hand South Hills a 4-0 shutout on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bearcats considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Centennial was forced to settle for a draw. They and Granbury finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Centennial's goal came courtesy of Hudson Hodges, who's now up to three this season.

Centennial's draw makes their record 2-2-1 this season. As for Aledo, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Aledo skirted past Centennial 1-0 when the teams last played back in January of 2018. Will Aledo repeat their success, or does Centennial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
