Softball Game Preview: Prattville Lions vs. Tuscaloosa County Wildcats

Prattville hasn't had much luck against Tuscaloosa County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Prattville turned things around against Holtville on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Bulldogs.

Prattville's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Grace Schrimpshire, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tuscaloosa County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Blocton on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-3.

Tuscaloosa County let Jaslene Belden and Peyton Earp run wild. Belden went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Earp went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Prattville's win bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Tuscaloosa County, their victory bumped their record up to 35-11-1.

Prattville might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Tuscaloosa County in their previous meeting on Thursday. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
