Softball Recap: Callisburg Takes a Loss

Callisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 19-8 to the Pilot Point Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-6 back in March.

Jai Leigh Partridge made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Triniti Sullivant was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Callisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Pilot Point, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Callisburg is set to face off against their familiar foe Boyd at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pilot Point will square off against rival Ponder at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
