While Trojans fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They walked away with a 12-7 win over Fairmont on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Olivia Brown was a major factor no matter where she played. Another player making a difference was Kady Long, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, while Lumberton put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Ashley. Lumberton blew past Ashley 12-0. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Screaming Eagle recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Jayla Hunt was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Hammond, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
