Volleyball Recap: Kimberly Falls Short Against Ranked Arrowhead

Kimberly faced Arrowhead in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Papermakers fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Saturday.

Several Papermakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Finley Van Lannen, who had 17 digs. Emma Tesch was another key player, getting 16 assists and six digs.

Leading Arrowhead to victory were Siena MacCudden and Georgia House. MacCudden had 13 digs and four assists, while House had eight digs. MacCudden has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

With the defeat, Kimberly broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 20-9. As for Arrowhead, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

Kimberly wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Waunakee on the 27th. As for Arrowhead, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Wisconsin Lutheran on the 27th.
