Basketball Recap: Kade Milleville's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Altamont over St. Anthony

If Altamont was feeling good fresh off their 70-50 takedown of Christ Our Rock Lutheran last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Altamont Indians took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Anthony Bulldogs on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 79th).

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kade Milleville, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 16 points. The matchup was Milleville's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Mcmanaway, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points.

Altamont's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for St. Anthony, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 25-4.

Looking ahead, Altamont will venture away from home to challenge Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Anthony, they will welcome Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
