Volleyball Recap: Wadsworth Beats Archbishop Hoban for Their 14th Straight Win

Wadsworth had already won 13 in a row and they went ahead and made it 14 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Archbishop Hoban Knights as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was payback for the Grizzlies, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While Wadsworth might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Archbishop Hoban scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-22.

Lauren Decker paced Wadsworth's offense, picking up 18 kills. Decker got some help from Rowan Kelly and her 31 assists. Kelly was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Wadsworth's win bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Archbishop Hoban, they moved to 17-5 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Wadsworth and Cuyahoga Falls will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Archbishop Hoban, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against North on the 16th.
