Payson put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Canyon del Oro Dorados, posting a 71-24 win. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Payson had a senior duo take command as Hannah Sarnowski went 10 for 16 on her way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals and Mylee Redford went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points and five steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for Sarnowski. The team also got some help courtesy of Cheyenne McLellan, who posted five points.

Canyon del Oro's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madisen Fleury, who had six points. Another player making a difference was Sloane Kinlacheeny, who put up six points and three steals.

Payson's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Canyon del Oro, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Payson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-29 defeat against Arizona Lutheran Academy on the 14th. As for Canyon del Oro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-29 loss against Walden Grove on the 14th.
