Basketball Recap: Spring Valley Grizzlies vs. Bishop Gorman Gaels
Spring Valley lost against Bishop Gorman back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spring Valley Grizzlies were beaten by the Bishop Gorman Gaels 73-36. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Spring Valley still got an impressive performance from Mia Ervin, who went 10 of 18 on her way to 23 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. Ervin's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points. Mckenyia Pittman was another key player, putting up seven points and nine boards.
Bishop Gorman found their leader in sophomore Kenzee Holton, who went 11 for 17 en route to 26 points along with six assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Holton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aaliah Spaight, who posted 14 points and six steals.
Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Bishop Gorman, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Spring Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 84-41 defeat against Centennial on the 6th. As for Bishop Gorman, they have also already played their next contest, a 46-45 loss against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus on the 5th.
