Lake Mills has gone 4-0 against Lake Country Lutheran recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lake Mills L-Cats will head out to challenge the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning at 7:15 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Lake Mills lost to Turner at home by a 54-40 margin. While losing is never fun, the L-Cats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Trojans are ranked 136th).

Meanwhile, Lake Country Lutheran came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eagles 84-24. The Lightning have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Lake Country Lutheran is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.4 points per game. As for Lake Mills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-15.

Lake Mills was able to grind out a solid win over Lake Country Lutheran when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 39-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Mills since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
