Basketball Recap: Mustang Takes a Loss

Mustang suffered their closest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the El Reno Indians by a score of 53-50. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Indians are ranked 22nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Mustang and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for El Reno, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Mustang wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-42 victory against Shawnee on the 24th. El Reno has also already played their next matchup, a 63-44 win against Choctaw on the 24th.
