Griswold won the last time they faced Fitch, and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Griswold Wolverines walked away with a 3-1 win over the Fitch Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.
Griswold was generally in control, but really had to dig deep in the first set to get the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-19.
Carly Rubino went supernova for Griswold, getting 27 digs.
Griswold now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fitch, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Griswold and Killingly will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
