Football Recap: Crystal Lake Central Wins Going Away Against Dundee-Crown + How To Watch

After only 12 points in their last contest, Crystal Lake Central made sure to put some points up on the board against Dundee-Crown on Tuesday. The Tigers took down the Chargers 31-14.

Despite the defeat, Dundee-Crown saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kerrigan Svec picked up 58 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Svec also hauled in two receiving touchdowns, which is notable because the Chargers are 4-1 when she posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 2-6 otherwise.

The win got Crystal Lake Central back to even at 5-5. As for Dundee-Crown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crystal Lake Central will take on Crystal Lake South at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will be up against the Gators' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dundee-Crown, they will face off against Hampshire at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Whip-Purs' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Chargers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
