Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookland-Cayce). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 25-24 win over the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Fighting Green Hornets last Monday, they had to take a 15-14 loss.

Brookland-Cayce's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Aiken, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Brookland-Cayce will take on rival Gray Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Aiken is set to challenge their familiar foe Midland Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
