Basketball Game Preview: Hardee Wildcats vs. Tenoroc Titans

The Hardee Wildcats will square off against the Tenoroc Titans at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Hardee earned a 48-40 victory over Frostproof. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Hardee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Victor Rodriguez led the charge by putting up ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan VanSickle, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Tenoroc had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five back in December of 2024. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 64-47 win over the Bulldogs. While the Titans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Hardee's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. As for Tenoroc, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4.

Hardee was taken down by Tenoroc 56-22 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Hardee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
