Basketball Game Preview: Walhalla Razorbacks vs. West-Oak Warriors

The Walhalla Razorbacks are taking a road trip to face off against the West-Oak Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Walhalla and four for West-Oak.

Last Tuesday, Walhalla was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-48 to Pendleton.

Despite the defeat, Walhalla had strong showings from Tyler Lusk, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points, and Jackson Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in blocks (three). Cam Lusk also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Meanwhile, West-Oak was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 49-43 to Pendleton.

West-Oak's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Walhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Walhalla was able to grind out a solid win over West-Oak in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 73-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walhalla since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
