Basketball Recap: Western Hills Takes a Loss

Western Hills fought the good fight in their overtime game against Hughes on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 73-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hughes BIG RED. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the BIG RED are ranked 73rd).

Western Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Hughes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Hills will square off against Kings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hughes, they will take on Woodward at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
