Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pioneer). They put the hurt on the Sacramento Dragons with a sharp 20-0 victory on Tuesday. With that win, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Pioneer got a massive performance out of Eddie Gill, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave Gill a new career-high. Jack Cullison was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Pioneer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pioneer's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Sacramento, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 17 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Pioneer will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sacramento: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
