Softball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

Elgin blew Bastrop out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Bastrop got their revenge. The Elgin Wildcats fell just short of the Bastrop Bears by a score of 7-5. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Bastrop, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5-1.

Elgin has already played their next matchup (against Holland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bastrop, they will take on Thrall in a tournament on Friday.
