Baseball Recap: Cleveland Comes Up Short

Cleveland fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Franklin on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Quakers by a score of 7-6. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Quakers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Zak Tran was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was August Sorenson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Cleveland dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Franklin, their record now sits at 5-14.

As of now, neither Cleveland nor the Quakers have any future games scheduled.
