Basketball Recap: Elkin Comes Up Short

Elkin lost against South Stokes back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Elkin Buckin' Elks took an 80-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Stokes Sauras. While losing is never fun, the Buckin' Elks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Sauras are ranked 83rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Elkin and nudges their season record down to 10-14. As for South Stokes, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

As of now, neither Elkin nor South Stokes have any future games scheduled.
