Basketball Recap: Dunwoody's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Dunwoody waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over the Shiloh Generals. The score was all tied up 18-18 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dunwoody to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Merritt, who posted 14 points and three steals. Matt Corgile was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Shiloh's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zylan Harris, who put up seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Johnson, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points.

Dunwoody's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Shiloh, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Dunwoody will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Woodward Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Shiloh will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Morrow at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th.
