Soccer Recap: Cristo Rey Atlanta Comes Up Short

Cristo Rey Atlanta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mays Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-2 back in February.

Sarahi Torres and Ashley Gonzalez Navarette scored both of Cristo Rey Atlanta's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Cristo Rey Atlanta's loss dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Mays, they moved to 3-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cristo Rey Atlanta will venture away from home to square off against Galloway at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mays, they will challenge Pace Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
