Softball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Westside's offense. They lost 10-0 to the County Line Indians on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Rebels' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Westside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayla Highfill, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Westside is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for County Line, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Looking ahead, Westside will head out on the road to square off against Hackett at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for County Line, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Ozark at 4:30 p.m.
